About Us
The Australian Asparagus Council (AAC) is a group of asparagus growers from the Koo Wee Rup and Dalmore areas of Victoria located 65 km south-east of Melbourne. This area is the major asparagus production area in Australia, producing over 93% of Australia’s asparagus. Through this website we strive to provide you with useful information about asparagus from paddock to plate. To provide a human face to our industry, we have included profiles of growers, foodies and chefs. In response to many requests for new recipes we have developed an extensive recipe library.
